Our very own "Ragtime" Jack Radcliffe recorded his first album in 1961 with five schoolmates from St. Paul School in New Hampshire: Larry Rand, Jon Prouty, Peter Lang, Andy Gagarin, and former presidential candidate and our new Secretary of State John Kerry.
Kerry, Prouty, Rand and Gagarin all graduated in 1962, but Lang and Radcliffe added new members Dave Allen, Bart Baldwin, Lee Scarbrough and Julian McKee to keep the band alive for another year.
Most of the band's repertoire was taken from contemporary surf and garage rock. Tunes from the Ventures, Johnny and The Hurricanes and Joey Dee & The Starlighters got prominent play, but Radcliffe also brought in elements of rhythm-and-blues and jazz, and composed several tunes for the band.
Wepecket reissued the original vinyl LP (only 500 were pressed) as a CD, keeping the original artwork for the cover.
