He was a central figure in the Greenwich Village scene of the late '50s. Among his friends were Jack Kerouac, "Mezz" Mezrow, Arnie Ginsberg and Art Tatum.

Folk-Lyric 107 (1960). Wow! This is a rare classic, indeed. Dr. Harry Oster did a bunch of collecting and recording in the 50s and early 60s on his Folk-:Lyric label, as well as for Elektra and Prestige. His usual run for a pressing was 300-500. The record is VG+, the jacket G- (worn through top layer of spine cover in one spot ... about 2 inches).
